Answer #1

Hydrochloric acid is first added to the solution, Ag+ is precipitated as AgCl

Ag+(aq) + Cl-(aq) -----> AgCl(s)

AgCl is filtered off and H2SO4 or Na2SO4 is added to the filtrate, BaSO4 is precipitated

Ba2+(aq) + SO42-(aq) ------> BaSO4(s)

BaSO4 is filtered off and H2S is passed or Na2S is added to the filterate , Cu2+ is precipitated as CuS

Cu2+ (aq) + S2-(aq) -------> CuS(s)
