The three occupations where mathematics is used

1) Data interpretation/Statistician: Data Interpretation or DI refers to the implementation of procedures through which data is reviewed for the purpose of arriving at an inference. Usually in organizations, Data can be obtained from multiple sources e.g. data from running of industries, census population data etc. Interpreting data requires analyzing data to infer information from it in order to answer questions regarding their outcomes, feedback, New policy,etc. Data can be provided in a number of formats viz: Bars, tables, line graphs, pie graphs. For instance, you can think of GDP data.

2) Survey/cartographer: Geographic survey highly depends on mathematical tools. For instance, you might have used sextant to measure the height of the building of your school. In a similar way, Sir George Everest calculated the height of Mt. Everest by using trigonometric ratios.

3) Operations research analyst: Analytical skills are crucial to the work of operations research analysts. They apply statistical analysis to business functions and use mathematical modeling techniques to figure out how an organization can operate more efficiently. This branch of mathematics was developed mainly during WW2 in Britain, where mathematicians were asked to provide way to maximize products or output by using minimum resources.
