Intervention

• Regular follow up as per advice to keep a track on health status, because rebound can occur in zone cases,long term effects can be identified and treated effectively
• The patient should be encouraged to do daily activity in order to keep oneself energetic and maintain healthy weight which can reduce the incidence 9f cancer
• Diet modifications like avoiding artificial flavored and colored food,additives, alcohol ,smoking becausevthis van be a risk factor for cancer

A social worker can help the patient here to get adjusted with the society and to make life style changes as he is very young and is highly susceptible for peer pressure etc.,

In colon cancer

• Teach the patient on the colostomy care to prevent infection and helps them to have a quality if life
• Provide knowledge on diet ,this is very important because the digestion process is mildly altered because of the surgery and especially its elimination pattern

A stoma nurse can help the patient to keep the site clean and dry and change dressing as per the need.
