In information three libraries development, test and production are applied. The component or program is developed on a development system; when the developer feels that the product is ready then it is copied to a test environment for the verification it works as expected. If the test is successful, the product will be copied to an environment of acceptance test; and if customer accepts the product, it will be deployed to a production environment thus making it available in the system for all users.

The main purpose is to develop and maintains computerized information systems of production to process data effectively to produce useful and timely information. Tests are done to provide the highest level of data security, integrity and confidentiality for ensuring a reliable and safe computing environment. Production is done for high degree of availability and recovery of its systems.
