I really just need help answering b and mostly c!! thank you
b. The overall pattern is not a linear relationship. The points
are scattered. There is a weak negative association. The
correlation is -0.1749.
Correlation is not a very helpful description of this
relationship.
c.
If we look at the data careful we see a pattern in the relative
growth rate based on the relative begging intensities.
When the difference in the begging intensity is between -3.5 to 3.5, relative growth rate is greater than 1, that is foster babies grow at a faster rate than the natural babies.
But when the difference is more than begging is less than -3.5 or ,more than +3.5, the relative growth is less than 1.
Hence we can see that the second theory, where the growth rate increases intially as begging increases but then level off or decrease as the parents begin to ignore increase in begging by the foster babies.
