Answer #1

The degree of association between two variables is measured by a correlation coefficient, denoted by r.

The correlation coefficient can be measured on a scale varying from + 1 through 0 to - 1.

The value of r near to +1 have strong positive association and value of r near to -1 have strong negative association.

As -0.33 is more closer to -1 than +0.19 is to 1,+ 0.19 have aweaker association.
