to find number of pi electron count double bonds and multiply by two and also count lone pair and multiply by two and ignore +ve charge of position and after that add together

4n+2 is the number of electron then it is aromatic where n is number of ring in system

4n is number of electron then it is antiaromatic

a)number of pi electron = 6 so 4n+2 = 6 so aromatic

b) number of pi electron = 8 so 4n= 8 so antiaromatic
