Answer #1

y = -2.03 x + 19.8

A regression line is of the form y = ax + b

Where, a is the slope of the regression line

b is the y intercept.

1)

:. Here, slope of the regression line = -2.03

2)

y - intercept of the regression line = 19.8

3)

Value of y when x = 3

We just have to substitute x = 3 in the regression line equation.

i.e., y = - 2.03 * 3 + 19.8

= -6.09 + 19.8

= 13.71

Answer :

The slope of the regression line is -2.03

The y - intercept of the regression line is  19.8

The value of y when x = 3 is 13.71
