A stone slab with a mass of 10 kg is fired out of a catapult at ground level that is tilted up at 45°. At the top of its flight parabola, the slab drags to a stop on a level rooftop with a kinetic friction coefficient of ½. Find the height of the building and the distance the slab skidded if the launch speed was 19.6 m/s. (Physics Question)

Answer #1

Concept:- here we use the equations for projectile motion to find the maximum height and then on the rooftop we find the deceleration of the slab using friction force on it, The height of builaing woul be a mapimum hight of the projechle which is given 20 -Ί9.gl m ahm at maximum height, vehcal velout 2ex So for its moton oootop 2.
