These two events are not mutually exclusive

since, someone with three sisters can with four (he/she with his/her three sisters and a brother) siblings

e.g. Person A with his three sisters B, C, and D; Also A can be with his four siblings B, C, D (three sisters) and E (brother). Hence the statement can be both.
