the approximate moment of torque due to the weight of man , T1 = m1 * g * x

T1 = 90 * 9.81 * 2.1 N.m = 1854.1 N.m

b)

let the distance of Woman from the pivot point be s

equating the torques

T1 = T2

T1 = m2 * g * s * sin(45)

1854.1 = 60 * 9.81 * s * sin(45)

solving for s

s = 4.45 m

the distance of woman is 4.45 m
