(a) 4.35 Here 4 and 3 is certain and 5 is estimated since significant figure is combination of certain digit plus one uncertain digit.

(b) 0.009340 underline digits 0093 are certain 40 is uncertain. Here first and last zero is not included in significant figure.

(c) 3400 underline digit 3 is certain 400 is uncertain. Here last two zeros are not included in significant figure.

(d) 1.38 × 10 1 and 3 are certain and 8 is uncertain. It has 3 significant figure.
