Suppose an observer is traveling along the straight line connecting our Milky Way galaxy to the Star Wars galaxy at a rate of speed sufficient so that the observer finds our present time to be simultaneous with the events of Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. Is this observer traveling towards us or towards the Star Wars galaxy? Explain your answer.

As the events of star wars occured 'a long time ago'

The spaceship would be travelling in past. That means it would be traveling at a speed much higher than light.

It cannot be travelling towards us. Because if it would be, the more it came towards us , the more in past it would go.

Hence, it must be travelling in direction towards star wars galaxy.
