why is the loss of a proton considered a decrease in entropy?
We all know that the proton is not free to move but remain stationary in the nucleus of any atom. When we remove the proton we create a void or space in the nucleus of atom but this space is not available for the movement electron which actually increase the entropy that's why the loss of proton is considered as the decrease in entropy.
Is an endothermic reaction with a decrease in entropy always spontaneous, never spontaneous or sometimes spontaneous and why
defend or refute.... Ionic compounds are soluble in water because of the large decrease in entropy that occurs upon mixing. I think we are refuting this statement but i'm not really sure why. please explain!
Explain why we must make the following changes to a proton test for it to land where an electron and positron land? Why must we dramatically decrease an electrical field (Example: from 15 N/C to -27500 N/C) for a proton to land at the same position as an electron when Vo is kept constant? Why must we dramatically decrease Vo values (example: from 600,000ns to 14000ns) for a proton to land at the same position as a positron when electrical...
25. Explain why a segment with an operating loss can cause the company to have a decrease in total operating income if the segment is dropped.
Which one of the following processes produces a decrease in the entropy of the system? Which one of the following processes produces a decrease in the entropy of the system? mixing of two gases into one container boiling water to form steaь melting solid lead into liquid lead precipitation of AgCl(s) from Ag+(aq) and Cl−(aq) ions in solution dissolution of MgCl2(s) in water
Part 2: Entropy is a focus of Topic 10. Entropy is given the symbol 'S'. The more mixed up things are, the higher the entropy. The more ways for a thing to be considered the same (how many ways can 3 pennies have 1 head and two tails), the higher the entropy. Entropy and disorder are closely related. As disorder increases, entropy increases. For example, consider your sock drawer. If all the socks are paired, the entropy is relatively low,...

2 Consider a toy model of an atomic nucleus. In this picture, a proton is considered to move through a uniform sphere of charge (p 1)e, where p is the number of protons in the nucleus and e is the charge on the proton. The radius of the nucleus is given by the formula In the above A is the atomic mass number (protons plus neutrons) and ro 1.3 × 10-15 m. For this model, find the force on a...
