The expression for the voltage in the circuit at any time t is as follows:

Here, is the maximum voltage, t is the time, R is the resistance and C is the capacitance of the capacitor.

Calculate the value of the resistance.

Take natural log on both sides of the above equation (1).

Rearrange the above equation for R.

Substitute for C, for t, 10 V for V, and 30 V for in above equation.

Therefore, the value of the resistance is.
