Ethyl 3-040 -3,4-diphenylbutanoate Sc=o ( dylaetching) 1630-1790 Estew 1735 -1450 Ketone 1690$750 Ar-H (stretching) ~3030 Aromatic substitution 680-840 Alkyl eh stretching 2853 -2962 If it would be the IR spectra of the above compround, you would loerve the above mentioned peaks; at least, very strong ones of c=o. I suspect that the IR spectra does not correspond to this compound.

It looks like the IR spectra is not of ethyl 3-oxo-2,4-diphenylbutanoate.
