Question

Light is a wave that always travels at 3 x 10* m/s. What is the wavelength corresponding to a radio wave (also a form of light) from a radio station? (radio stations have frequencies of around 100 megahertz, or 100 million Hz) 3 x 100 m O 3 x 10 m o 3 x 10 m O 3 m O 3 x 104 m

Answer #1

Here,

frequency , f = 100 MHz

speed of wave = 3 *10^8 m/s

wavelength = speed of wave/frequency

wavelength = 3 *10^8/(100 *10^6)

wavelength = 3 m

the wavelength corresponding to radio wave is 3 m
