Linear speed is defined as the linear distance covered by a body in a unit time.

Linear speed, v=ds/dt

Where, s is the distance coveted by body

Whereas Rotational speed is due to application of torque. It is defined as angle rotated by object about axis of rotation per second.

W= dtheta/dt

Here, theta is the angle covered by body.

Also, linear speed, v= rorational speed(w)* R

Where, R is the distance of object from axis.
