I am using the Mcondald's company for this discussion. McDonald's is an American fast food company, founded in 1940 as a restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald, in San Bernardino, California, United States. McDonald's is the world's largest restaurant chain by revenue,^[8] serving over 69 million customers daily in over 100 countries^.

This company is the best example of business which has international entry in many countries.there are strategy like exporting, licensing,partnership,FDI etc to enter into international market but the strategy used by mcondalds is franchising strategy in which franchisor licenses its know-how, procedures, intellectual property, use of its business model, brand, and rights to sell its branded products and services to a franchisee.

Mcondalds offers its name, procedure to make its foods, intellectual property to the person who want to open business in their home country under its name.

Most McDonald’s owner/operators have entered the corporation by purchasing an existing restaurant. To open a McDonald’s franchise, however, requires a total investment of $1-$2.2 million, with liquid capital available of $750,000. The franchise fee is $45,000.

the motivation of this strategy is to create global brand name and increase its brand value in market. without too much investment of itself because person who wants to take its name and business pay the business cost to its owner.

the problems which this business dealth with is related to social and cultural factors in which different different countries have different food related cultures like IN US you can have beef menu but in India you can not eat beef because of religious beliefs so they have more veg menus.

also company has to deal with control issues like each store has different managers who manage business differently so any health issue arise is one store can put bad reputation to whole brand.also company has related to bad and unhealthy food provider which it needs to clear because it would make its business bad and stores are closing in past years because of low profit.

to deal with these problems, company hire experts and managers which are trained to manage its stores also do good marketing investment to make ad campaigns and public relation to make good relationship with its customers. it uses strategy in which it makes menu by considering the needs and wants of customers in different countries.
