a) Velocity of the string must be same irrelevant of the frequency of note.

Hence, for note 392 Hz and 440 Hz

440 U392

= 440 X 44O or, A392 X 392

The 392 Hz note is the fundamental note.

3922L392=70cm

Hence,

70 x 392 = 2L440 x 440

or, L440=31.18cm

The guitar must be struck

(35- 31.18)cm 3.82cm from the end.
