Answer #1

given
r = 5 cm
rho = 1.5 g/cm^3

v_hemisphere = (1/2)*(4/3)*pi*r^3

= (2/3)*pi*5^3

= 261.8 cm^3

in the equilibrium, buoyant force on the pod = weight of the pod and the object

weight of the fluid displaced = m*g

rho_fluid*V_hemisphere*g = m*g

rho_fluid*V_hemisphere = m

1.5*261.8 = m

==> m = 1.5*261.8

= 393 grams (or) 0.393 kg <<<<<<<<<<------------Answer
