Answer: The current choice of therapy for herniation of intervertebral disk are:

  • Exercise
  • Physiotherapy
  • Gentle stretching therapy
  • Ice and heat therapy specially for pain relief.
  • Medications.
  • Surgery such as Microdiscectomy

These treatments have been developed through various research and findings. The special consideration are made to lower the pain. Physical therapy, exercise are the treatments that are invasive at present. People are avoiding to take pain killers as they causes many side effects. The physiotherapy are generally performed to reduce pain.
