Answer #1

Probability of randomly selecting a household that has 1 or 2 television equal to sum of probability of having 1 television and 2 television.

Hence probability is 0.19+0.28 = 0.47

Other Ways:

Consider there are 100 household, then

No of television Houses

0. 2

1. 19

2. 28

3 . 51

So number of houses having 1 or 2 television equal to 19+28 = 47 houses

Probability of selecting those houses = 47/100 = 0.47
