Explanation; Given the concentration of H3O+. By using that value, we can determine the PH.

PH= -log[H3O+]

= -log [3.9x10-4]= 3.4

ie; POH= 14-PH

POH of OH- = 14 - 3.4 = 10.6

concentration of OH- is, [OH-]= 10-POH

= 10-10.6 = 2.6x10-11 mol L-1

The concentrtion of OH- is lesser than H3O+ , so the solution is acidic
