 a) Determine the axial force (P), transverse shear (V), torque (T), and bending moment (M) on cross-section a-a.

 b) Calculate max stresses on the cross-section a-a due to loads P, V, T and M EACH.

 c) Combine all stress components at point B that is on the a-a section from part b) and draw a stress element at B. Determine the principal stresses at point B.
