Vertical force P= 250 Ib acts on end B of the L-shaped solid round bar as shown in the figure. The front view lies in the x-y plane as shown, and the top view lies in the x-z plane. The diameter of the bar is 2.00 in. Point A is on the top of the bar.

a) Find the bending moment and torsion acting on the bar at the cross section where point A is located. Use the given coordinate system to describe these moments.

b) Find the bending stress σ_xx acting on bar at point A, including its sign.

c) Find the shear stress due to torsion acting on the bar at point A. Is this shear stress a value of r_xy or a value of r_xz? Include the sign as part of your answer.
