Motivation is greater when the person perceives that the health information is relevant to their life and helps them to solve a problem.

2. The nurse decides to build education based on the man's statement that his father died from complications related to diabetes . The nurse is using the Experiential type of readiness to learn the most to engage this man . He has an experience of the adverse effects of diabetes ,suffered by his own father and he died of its complications . The nurse is using this experience as a tool for learning.
