initial velocity of car = Vi = 30 m/s

final velocity = Vf =0 m/s

distance = d = 80 m

acceleration = a

using the equation ::

Vf2 = Vi2 + 2 a d

02 = 302 + 2 a (80)

a = - 5.625 m/s2
