Answer #1

final speed after acceleration:

Vf = 0 + 4*9 = 36 m/s

distance travel during acceleration:

d = 0.5(0 + 36) * 9 = 162 m

distance travel during constant speed

d = 36 * 4 = 144 m

time taken during deceleration:

t = (0 - 9)/ -3 = 3 seconds

distance travel during deceleration:

d = 0.5 (0 + 9) * 3 = 13.5 m

total distance travel :

162 + 144 + 13.5 = 319.5 m
