Answer #1

The Federal Income Tax rate for 2019.

Period: Jan 01 to Dec 31.

Name : Sean Steveman

Status : Individal

Taxable income between ($)                                                      Tax Rate

0 to 9700                                                                                        0 %

9701 to 39475                                                                             970 + 12% of over 9700

39476 to 84200                                                                             4543 + 22 % of over 39475

84201 to 160725                                                                          14382 + 24 % of over 84200

160726 to 204100                                                                        32748.50 + 32 % of over 160725

204101 to 510300                                                                        46628.50 + 35 % of over 204100

510301 and above                                                                        153798.5 + 37 % of over 510300

In this case the yearly total day gross pay is $ 4950.40. Hence it is coming under 0 Slab rate hence no tax to be payable.

Example: If we assume that work starts from 1st of May and it will continue till December assuming that 4 weeks in a month effecting from May then total 32 weeks till December 2019 and the gross taxable salary is 32 x 353.6= $ 11315.20 then it will come under 2nd slab rate i.e. 970 + 12 % of ( 11315-9700)= 970 + 194 is equal to 1164.
