ADP/ATP, NAD+/NADH, FAD/FADH2, FMN/FMNH2 - are activated carriers during catabolism (Oxidation), this means ADP, NAD+, FAD, FMN can capture electrons and others ATP, NADH, FADH2, FMNH2 are electron carriers.

ADP/ATP, NADP+/NADPH - are the activated carriers during anabolism (reduction), this means ADP, NADP+ can capture electrons, and ATP, NADPH are electron carriers.
