Answer #1

here we have

s=0.563t2-4.5t+6...................eqn 1)

so V=ds/dt=1.126t-4.5

so when v=0

1.126t-4.5=0

t=4.00s

part B) total distance

ds/dt\rightarrow0

here we have t=0, t=4, t=6.31

now using equation 1

when t=0, s=6

when t=4,s=-3

when t=6.31 s=0

from 0-4 s \Deltas=9m

from 4-6.31s \Deltas=3m

so total distance =9+3=12.0m

so answer is 12.0 m
