Note : a) 1) The reaction in which heat is released is called Exoergic reaction and the reaction the heat is absorbed is called Endoergic reaction.

2) Therefore, In Exothermic reaction------> free energy of Product < Reactant (Spontaneous reactions)

                   In Endothermic reaction-----> free energy Product > Reactant (Non-spontaneous reaction)

b) Energy diagram represents iv) Dissolving salt and v) Photosynthesis.

c) Remaining examples like boiling of water a not selected because heat is released in the process & energy of the Product would be less than the energy of the reactant in the energy profile diagram.
