Solution:

All the given drugs caffeine, acetaminophen and aspirin are polar compounds. Thus, they posses polarity due to presence of polar functional groups (OH, COOH, C=O groups).

In TLC, eluting power of a compound increases with increasing polarity of solvent. Hence, elution of polar compounds (aspirin, caffeine and acetaminophen) requires polar solvent.

Hexane is a nonpolar solvent, hence it decreases the eluting power of drugs (aspirin, caffeine and acetaminophen). Therefore, it is not considered as a good developing solvent for the above mentioned polar compounds.
