q_1 = q and   q_2 =2 q

Given is:-

Distance between the charge = 3cm or 0.03m

Force experienced by charge 2 is F = 4N

Now

The Force between the two charged particles is given by

Kq1q2

Therefore the force exerted by charge 1 on to charge 2 is exactly the same in magnitude by the force exerted by charge 2 on to the charge 1 but in opposite direction.

Part-a

Thus the magnitude of the force on particle 2 is

oxed{4N} Hence option - 1 is correct answer.

Part-b

Similar polarity charges experience the repulsive force therefore the force on particle 1 due to the particle 2 is in -x direction

Hence

Option - 4 is correct answer.
