Q:3.Ans :-

Jones reagent is the (CrO3+aq H2SO4 ) + (acetone as solvent) mixture. It is the milder oxidizing agent which can convert primary alcohol to aldehyde or carboxylic acid and secondary alcohol to carboxylic acid. 2-Methyl-2-propanol i.e. CH3C(OH)(CH3)2 is a tertiary alcohol and it will not undergoes oxidation with Jones reagent.

Hence, 2-Methyl-2-propanol do not reacts with Jones reagent.
