2) Structure I is most stable because both CH3 group are at maximum distance thus repulsion between them is minimum, hence it is most stable.

3) In R/S configuration, atoms or groups are numbered according to their atomic mass if atom attached to chiral carbon is same then next atom is considered for priority determination. If rotation from high priority group (1) to low priority group (3) is clockwise with group numbered as 4 lie Below the plane (or horizontal) then it is R and if anticlockwise then S.

If low priority group lie above the plane (vertically) then clockwise rotation give S and anticlockwise rotation give R.

4) Enantiomers are non-superimposable mirror images.

Diastereomers are stereoisomers with same bond connectivity but they are not mirror images.

Meso compound contain internal plane which cleave the molecule into two equal halves.

A) Enantiomers because they are mirror images.

B) Diastereomers because they are stereoisomers but not mirror images.

C) Meso compound because they contain internal plane of symmetry.
