During the titration of Calcium antiacids tablets, the tablets are dissolved in HCl. What would happen to the calculated calcium content of the titration if not enough HCl was added to dissolve the Calcium Carbonate?

HCl should be in acess while measuring the neutralization capacity of antacid.

HClinitial – HCltitrated = HClneutralized

Titration is done by NaOH solution.

If there is less HCl, NaOH will react with Ca​​​​​2+ precipitating Ca(OH)2.

Exact strength of Antacid couldn't be calculated.
