Discuss some of the environmental and economic changes affecting behavior on both sides of the energy balance question that have contributed to the dramatic rise in the prevalence of overweight and obesity among youth and adults over the past several decades.

Obesity is one of the major problems of the humanity .obesity is the excess deposit of fat in the body due to over eating which cannot be control it.overweight and obesity are known to have many effects on physical and psychological health.overweight and obese children remain obese in adulthood and they are more likely to have diabetes and cardiovascular diseases at their early stage. Obesity is a complex condition including factors like biological, genetic, behavioural,social, cultural and environmental . Environmental factors include excess calorie intake and decreased physical activity.some of the risk factors of obesity and overweight include unhealthy life habits ,age , race , and family history obesity is a serious condition that has negative effect on health . The physical demands of our society have changed which resulted in imbalance of energy intake and expenditure.Nutritional transition to calorie like sugar added foods and inactive physical activity are the major factors of obesity.This problem is more in our society due to the increased intake of packed food items , calories and lack of excercise.The best way to reduce body fat is excercising and intake of well balanced diet , which makes you healthier and get rid of chronic diseases.
