Answer #1

Solution:

1) CaBr2

No

Calcium bromide is a salt, hence its solubility does not change with pH.

It is highly soluble in water, hence its solubility is highest at pH=7.

2) CuBr :

Yes

CuBr is less soluble in water. Its solubilty increases with increasing pH. Thus it is highly soluble at pH=8.

3) Mg(OH)2

Yes

Its solubility increases with decreasing pH because addition of acid causes more neutralization of OH- ions.

Hence, it is highly soluble at pH = 6
