I am getting my NPV as a percentage! Not sure why this is happening as it never happened before. Any ideas on why this is happening?

You can never get NPV as a percentage ,the IRR is calculated as a percentage.

The NPV is calculated as :

= ( Initial investment) + cash flow 1/ ( 1 + required return)^1 + cash flow 2/ ( 1+ required return)^2 + .....

You will reach a amount as the NPV and not a percentage.
