For each scenario can you tell me the
- objectives (why you chose ths technique) and
- technique selection, application and assessment
Techniques: effluerage, petrissgae (circular palm wringing and pick up), deep tissue massage, massage with movement , trigger point release
1. 1. Swelling at the ankle following a GrII lateral ankle
sprain that occurred 3 days ago. Perform a technique to reduce
swelling.
2. Tight and sensitive adductor muscles diagnosed as a GrI strain
of the muscles attaching to at pes anserinas. Perform a technique
to reduce sensitivity and increase range of motion.
1. Tension affecting their back muscles, associated with tense
postures at work. Perform a technique to facilitate general
relaxation of the back muscles and return of metabolites that may
have accumulated in the spinal extensor muscles.
2. Delayed onset muscle soreness affecting iliocostalis at the
thoracolumbar junction. Perform a technique to improve mobility of
the muscles here, to reduce pain and facilitate removal of
metabolites.
1. A tense manner of holding their right arm that will make
examination and exercising of the limb difficult. Perform a
technique that will help them to relax the whole limb, accommodate
to touch and to help you discover more about regional sensitivity
in the limb without causing pain.
2. Tense, tight and tender wrist extensor muscles limiting their
grip strength. Perform a technique to reduce sensitivity at these
muscles, to facilitate muscle mobility and relaxation.

1. Fatigued quadriceps muscles after completing a 10 km run.
Perform a technique to facilitate removal of metabolites and fluid
return from the limb to aid recovery.
2. A weightlifting competition in 10 min. Perform a technique to
improve arousal and superficial blood flow of the quadricep
muscles.
