Because abortions are against Dr. Mark's conscience, he refuses to perform the procedure. He also informs Janet's parents of her pregnancy and intentions to abort.

1) Can Dr. Mark justify his refusal to perform the abortion by the use of proportionality between good and evil effects? The good of the society must be considered in answering this question. 2) Was he wrong for telling Janet's parents of her situation and her intentions? Why?
