Fair Trade is considered to be a movement which stands for the fair treatment of farmers in third world countries . Fair trade provides better and fair price also pay employees a good wage and promote sustainable development.

Fair trade is more advantageous to workers and small business owners in many aspects

  • Paid higher than market price so extra money for development
  • Helping them become more income secure
  • Help workers and farmers realise their rights
  • Investments made in education , healthcare and housing due to better pricing
  • Improves access to agricultural services like organic training and therefore premium markets.
  • stable prices that cover the cost of sustainable production

Fair Trade network connects small farmers , workers , and craftspeople with organization and consumers in all over the world through this fair trade system its rules and principles. The basic concepts of fair trade guarantees a minimum price for commodities ,so workers in developing countries are paid more than the amount they can earn. It reaches further than the ethical trade , it enables people to take more control over their own lives.

Fair trade is now one of the greatest success of ethical consumer movement . It enhances the relationship between producers with consumers and informs the consumers of the need for social justice and opportunities for change . Consumers know they are buying a product which is ethical, organic, fair price and enables the consumers to trace their purchase
