Population mean = \mu = 4.73

Sample mean = \bar x = 4.21

Sample standard deviation = s = 3.43

Sample size = n = 50

This is a two tailed test.

The null and alternative hypothesis is,

Ho: \mu = 4.73

Ha: \mu \neq 4.73

The test statistics,

t = ( \bar x - \mu )/ (s/\sqrt{n})

= ( 4.21 - 4.73 ) / ( 3.43 / \sqrt{} 50 )

= -1.072

df = n - 1 = 49

P- Value = 0.2890
