17) Carboxylic acid are more acidic than alcohol because their conjugate base are resonance stabilized as compared to alcohol. Presence of electron withdrawing group like Fluorine increase the acidic by withdrawing electron density on oxygen and thus stabilizing conjugate base. Order of Acidity become :

Weakest : Ethanol<acetic acid<Trifluoroacetic acid : strongest
