Electronic configuration is: 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d5 4s1
Explanation: Half filled orbital are more stable.
so instead of 4s2 3d4, we go for 4s1 3d5 where both orbitals are half filled
Since charge on Cr is +4
So, we need to remove 4 electrons
Electrons are always removed from highest number orbital
Removing 1 electron from 4s
Removing 3 electron from 3d
Final electronic configuration is : 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 3d2
