1.n is known as principal quantum number. It determines the size and to large extent the energy of the orbital .

In 6f , n =6 and l = 3 , because coefficient of orbital represents the value of n , and we know the value of l corresponding to f orbital is 3 .

2. I is known as orbital angular momentum and its value depends on the value of n . For a given value of n , l can have n values ranging from 0 to n-1.

So value of l for n =5 will be : 0,1,2,3,4.
