Answer #1

IV of nitroglycerin 100 mg in 250 mL of D5W needs to be infused at 20 mcg/min.

20mcg x 60min = 1200mcg/hr

1200mcg = 1.2 mg

So, you need to administer 1.2mg per hour

100mg + 250ml = 0.4mg/ml It means the solution contains 0.4mg per ml.

1.2mg = 0.4mg/ml = 3ml

Answer - you need to program on the pump on 3ml per hour.
