Answer #1

The preffered site for intramuscular injection when administering penicillin injection is the gluteal region. In case of selection of other sites can lead to Nicolau syndrome. The ventrogluteal site can give minimal to no side effects if given in the proper techniques by a nurse. This position can be achieved with little patient mobilization with or without help.
